Meet Dr Jason Blake
BSc (Chiro), BChiro
To prepare for his career, Jason graduated from the rigorous 5-year chiropractic program at Murdoch University. His interest in the field was sparked by his personal experiences in Muay Thai, where he was sponsored by a chiropractor for many years.
Through his passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals, Jason saw the potential of chiropractic care and expanded his knowledge to better serve those seeking to improve their health and wellbeing.
In addition to his chiropractic degree, Jason earned a Certificate in Personal Training and Strength and Conditioning Level 2.
A Personalised Approach to Chiropractic Care
Dedicated to focusing on the patient rather than just the issue, Jason provides care from a sports/biomechanical viewpoint. He carefully evaluates how the body can move and feel better for each individual person, tailoring his care to athletes and their specific sport requirements.
His techniques include:
- Manual adjustments
- Manual mobilisations
- Soft tissue techniques (including massage, active trigger point release, and pin and stretching)
- Activator
- Dry needling
- Myofascial cupping
Jason believes in using a wide range of techniques that best suit and provide optimal improvements for each person, as he recognises that we are all different.
The satisfaction he derives from his work comes from seeing the changes and improvements in his patients’ lives from relieving their pain to enabling them to pick their kids up again, and everything in between.
Life Outside the Practice
When he’s not caring for patients’ spines, Jason has many hobbies and interests. These include Muay Thai, fixing or creating anything with his hands, movies, any water activity (snorkelling, diving, fishing, surfing, swimming, etc), hanging out with his friends, golfing and motorbike riding.
